Women, Infants & Children (WIC) A-DLC Public Health Department

WIC is a supplemental nutritional program designed to provide nutritious food for eligible families. The purpose of this program is to assist families with free food.

  • Who is eligible? Women must have recently delivered a baby or must currently be pregnant or breast feeding
  • Parents of infants and children under five years old also qualify to apply
  • Families and individuals must meet income criteria

SNAP provides suplemental food and nutrition assistance to low income people. SNAP recipients use EBT cards, which are similar to debit cards, to purchase food in authorized retail stores. The County Attorney’s Office is responsible for prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony crime which occurs within Anaconda-Deer Lodge County. We assist law enforcement with search warrants and investigative subpoenas. We work with adult and juvenile probation and parole, file petitions when appropriate and revoke prior sentences when a violation has occurred. We are responsible for filing all cases of abuse and neglect and act as counsel for the Department of Public Health and Human Services, Family Services Division. In addition, we are counsel to Adult Protective Services. We also handle all Petitions for Involuntary Commitment. The County Attorney acts as legal advisor to various boards, departments, the Chief Executive and Commission. We cannot represent individual citizens or employees and must only consider the civil liability issues of the county government itself.

Helps residents prevent illness and injury, promote good health practices, clean environment, and prolong life. Local Vaccine for Children provider. Also providing Title X Family Planning Services for women, men, and teens. STI testing, treatment and education available. All services strictly confidential. Breastfeeding support with a Certified Lactation Counselor, Asthma and Parents as Teachers Home Visiting Programs, Child Passenger Safety Technician, Safe Sleep/Safe Seat Program, also available.
